I played with my new iPhone all weekend, but was a bit confused because I could make calls (Calling my two sisters first to wish them a happy birthday, i was two days late with one of them… ack) but I couldn’t take any calls. Monday morning Verizon finally let go of my phone number and the iPhone became fully functional. Bliss….

It’s hard to explain what a fun experience this has been, beginning with being in San Francisco for MacWorld Expo to see Steve Jobs unveil the iPhone back in January and then getting a chance to visit the Cupertino AppleStore (aka “The Mothership”) right there at the Apple Campus with the YourMacLife crew. Seeing the happy crowds getting their iPhones and then spontaneously deciding to get my own later that evening was a perfect climax to this seven-month journey. Only seems fitting to add a video hosted by YourMacLife’s Shawn King covering the launch event from New York City (alas, I couldn’t find a online video from the store I was at in Costa Mesa, CA damn)…
