I’ve actually run out of things to watch on YouTube a couple times over the past week. Given how much video material is uploaded to YouTube every second is so much more than I could ever watch in a thousand life times, coming to the end of my feed is more about the algorithm than actually running into the “end of the Internet,” or something strange like that. Things like this make me want to be more intentional with my use of time when it comes to watching stuff online. This is the second “where are the aliens?” video in as many days. It’s a tough reality that if there are others out there that you’d think we’d have made contact by now… That is until one takes a good look at the distances between planets and star systems and the shortness of human life and human civilizations. I like Dr. Fatima’s attitude about how our cultural prejudices have so influenced our thoughts about what other life must be like.

Fraser Cain, publisher of Universe Today, collected a couple science communicators and hashed out twenty different “solutions” to the Fermi Paradox and rank them from S to D. Enjoy.
