Blame/Credit Confusion

This one popped up in my feed:

I love Donald Trump. And, I am not afraid to admit it. I don’t always agree with him. 20 percent of the time, I disagree with him. But, 80 percent of the time, I agree with him. I only agreed with Barack Obama 20 percent of the time. 80 percent of the time I was disgusted and appalled by his decisions and positions. He was the worst president in my entire lifetime. Why would I vote for a repeat of his administration? That would be a really stupid thing to do. I would be voting for everyone in Central Florida to go back to massive unemployment and massive underemployment and massive home foreclosures. I am not going to vote for that. I am extremely glad to be done with the Obama years. They were painful, miserable, unhappy years for many, many people in Central Florida. Why would anyone vote to go back to that?

My response:

Nina, I guess you forgot the economic situation Obama inherited from Bush II in 2008, which makes your assertion that the current good economy has anything to do with Trump, understandable. I see a pattern of mistaken blame/credit. You’ve been successfully gaslighted by cult45.
