30-Days Before the Beginning of Another School Year
When this school-closure thing began I found and wrote the following list on my refrigerator door:
Having survived whatever this is, I’m prepping for the unknown to come and reflecting on what I’ve learned since March 16th. Some of the lessons learned come from conversations I’ve been having with my girlfriend, Deb, on how to best use our time to get the things that we want to do in our lives done, her with her largely unstructured schedule and me still doing the 9-to-5 (albeit over the past Spring, doing it from home). More discussions and writing to come on the ol’ work/life balance and how if you don’t schedule to do things that you say are important to you, that they don’t get done. Who knew? Anyway, here’s my new Daily/Weekly Checklist:
We are now less than 30-days before I need to report to my new school site and begin the school year. How the year will begin (face-to-face/virtual/actual schedule) hasn’t been determined. But I’ve begun to write up the classroom resources that I will be working with for the coming year… lots of unknowns to begin with…
