The United Nations is focused on dealing with the problem of plastics polluting our environment. They’ve set the goal to reducing plastics in our environment by 80% by 2040. They look to how we dealt with issue of CFCs in the atmosphere harming the planet’s ozone layer in the 1970s and 1980s. Instead of just looking at waste management, they are looking at the whole process where we can reduce single-use plastics and create an economic advantage to reusing our plastic containers. 

Clearly, it’s not enough to make it the job of consumers to recycle our plastics… but I know one area where I can do a much better job. How about you?
