I understand how important group cohesion is, especially for Iron Age tribes wandering in the desert surrounded by possible hostile neighbors, but you’d think that the Creator of the Universe would have been less into propping up his own importance and included some of the items mentioned above, that would have really benefitted human existence… something about the preciousness of all forms of life might have been a good place to begin. Talk about missed opportunities….
