After three pre-VIVA events (and a day “off”), I survived my one day Viva Las Vegas 27 experience in the late April heat. After the first set I immediately positioned myself in front of the stage for the Queen of the Car Show pin-up competition, which meant that I was on my feet in the blazing sun for over two-hours straight. I had brought an umbrella for some shade and brought it out briefly while waiting for the Queen of the Car Show competition to begin. After the competition I retreated to a covered area near where they were selling beer and found a seat and finished the water I had brought with me. For the second straight year, I have enjoyed VIVA entirely sober. More on that in a later post. Then when I was live-streaming the next performance my iPhone actually conked out due to overheating. It was quite the adventure. I will post images and videos from today’s performances later in my JBB’s Media Projects blog. In the meantime, I am going to sleep very well tonight. Enjoy.
