I’ve used technology in education to extend my reach, not to eliminate the human connection in teaching. The following video is an example of one of our weekly sessions. It’s a week one course/instructor intro session. In order to use our time as efficiently as possible and to promote more of a discussion than lecture I would forward the second video to my students, which is the course/instructor info that they will need to succeed. There’s some redundancy with the two videos, but that also means the live session can address questions instead of delivering information and if there’s some repetition it increases the possibility that the information will be received and processed.
