Matt. 11:16-19 – Children Playing At Life & Missing the Miracles About Them

This is such a perfect verse for me today. No matter how life seems to be going I have such an amazing sense of dissatisfaction. I know that Jesus is referring more to how, even though he and John had come fulfilling prophesy, these first century Jews were unable to see what was happening right in front of them. I know for myself I think about how blinded I am, missing all of the actual miracles happening all about me, because things aren’t happening the way I want for them to happen. It’s tough imaging oneself to be one of the wise ones only to discover that I’m just another foolish child playing at life. JBB 6/15/2004
