mrbstechlab Since the beginning of the school year I’ve been using digication.com to manage my daily agendas and lessons and it’s a huge improvement from posting my agenda and links on my iCal account that I did prior to this. It’s not quite as seamless as SchoolLoop in that I have to manual install students and I’m doing my grading using a separate offline program, but I’m very impressed with the features and the fact that this service is free. So over the past couple days I’ve finally gotten round to creating my public accessible classroom website on the Digication service. It’s totally web-based and there are some format limitations (with the free accounts) as far as loading images all over the pages like I’m used to with my blogs. But I’m pretty please with the site and enjoyed the challenge of taking the templates available and put my own touches on the pages. Beyond the typical syllabus and classroom rules materials I’m interested in getting my ongoing lessons and unit information posted so that parents can keep track of what we’re doing in room 700.

Oh yeah, I also finally got around to posting my students’ grades online (damn that took a long time this year!). Now I need to get to putting together my journalism specific website using joomla… onward and upward. Check out the classroom site at: http://campus.digication.com/mrbstechlab
