Watching older episodes of SpaceVidCast I saw this launch video from STS133. Space Rocks! BTW, the last three launches that I’ve watched, because I wasn’t at a NASA property to view the launch, I was able to stay in the minute-to-minute loop by watching SpaceVidCast.com on my iPhone. We live in amazing times! Here’s a video of the same launch recorded from a passing airplane:

Just now saw this incoming link or I would have replied earlier. Glad that the Spacevidcast feed worked on your iOS device and you were able to watch on the go. The shuttle may have retired but there are still plenty of awesome things happening in space. We’re on the cusp of something great, I just know it!
I completely agree that the possibilities in the near future for space travel and space commerce expanding beyond something that only Super Powers can afford is huge. I guess fortunately for me I moved from Southern California to Central Florida just in time to watch in person the launch of the last nine Shuttle missions (or make the attempt for the many times many of them were scrubbed). I do wish that I could have seen the launch of one of the Saturn Vs back in the day. But the future holds such great promise. And it’s awesome and amazing to have access to what’s going on via so many ways (and not just NASA TV on TV). Thanks for what you do to keep us space geeks plugged in.
