Why are some people kind or nice? Does it come easy for them? Are they “kind” by nature or are they doing it for some other reason? These are some deep and personal questions to ponder on a Wednesday morning… Maybe it’s better to just imagine that if you practice being nice to each other that it’ll become a habit that might eventual make others wonder if you do nice things just because it’s your nature…

With that in mind, our class and all mentorship classes have been given a challenge, a secret mission outlined in the following video:

So let’s brainstorm and decide for what our classes “secret mission of kindness” is going to be for this week. As an incentive, admin has promised that the first three classes (individuals in our class) who complete their mission of kind acts while keeping it secret will be rewarded with an ice cream party.  So what acts of kindness should we do or practice? Let’s brainstorm and then write something in our Do Now…

So my mentorship students are coming up with their secret mission of kindness. Y’all online, what are you going to do this week to foster kindness towards one another? Yield the right-of-way in the supermarket or while driving, say “hi” to a neighbor, treat a clerk or server with understanding? The opportunities to practice kindness are endless. Have a wonderful Wednesday.
