Ever since I saw The Saturday Giant at a coffee shop in Orlando I have been hooked on musicians who find ways to harness their talents with some cool tech to create amazing one-person performances. I’ll never get over his rendition of “While My Guitar Gently Weeps,” because it was largely unrecognizable while he built the tune. Watching him perform at the Sleeping Moon Cafe was the first time I’d seen the looping technique live. As someone who has played mostly solo for many many years it was an inspiration.
Cut to today’s Video Fridays featuring Tash Sultana, I know almost nothing about this artist except that her “Jungle” video popped up in my feed and I love her energy and talent. The video is so “unproduced” and even with the technology it feels so natural. I love that a pet walks through the video and a head peaks around the corner. I hope your weekend begins with the kind of joy and enthusiasm shared in today’s video. Enjoy.
