Quarter 3 is done. How do you feel about how you did for the quarter overall? Next week is Spring Break, so I hope you get plenty of rest and when we get back we power through the last 10-weeks of the year.

So, for the most part grades were locked in by Wednesday and the curriculum for all three classes had been locked in since Sunday night. Having some notion about where I want to go with my classes has been such a blessing. Given that my usual M.O. going all the way back to 2016 when I was teaching STEAM at Fitzgerald has generally been endless last minute panicking the night before classes every single night from August to May with little to no time to do the grading part until just before grades are due. Out of six classes I only had one student try to squeeze in last minute assignment (alas, grade were due at 2pm and his last post was at 3:45… so close). So I’m feeling good about how this one turned out.

I’ve already prepped Week 11 for the intro to Robotics class and hope to have the remaining ten weeks to all three classes sewn up by the end of Spring Break. The better I map this out, the better I can deal with whatever madness might befall said plans. Also, I need to invest a lot of time making archive copies of everything I’ve been doing AND reaching out to potential employers before the June deadline. As I mentioned in yesterday’s post we are now down to 44 more teaching days before the end… Let’s see where the road takes us in the next ten-weeks and even more interesting, after that.

How did you do over the past ten weeks?
