We’re less than a month away from the beginning of the summer break. Time for some summer planning. Does you and your family normally take off for the summer or stay home and chill? Please share your stories.

In all honesty, at the moment I cannot say whether this summer break will be another stay-cation or “road-trip summer.” The deciding factor is what the career gods decide is going to be my next gig. I know myself well enough to know that I won’t be able to relax at all until I feel like I have something lined up. I have at least one application that I’m going to fill out this weekend that would make me very happy if it were to come true. That’s all I can say at the moment. So I guess my “summer plans” begins with “what’s Joe going to do for work” before I can even think about hitting the road or just sleeping in every day. I have 15 more teaching days to get this figured out. Yay.
