Simply put: I want. I know, it’s a bit of a problem, my small robot obsession. But there it is. The new upgrade to the Mindstorms EV3 robotics kit was released today and I want it. Alas, it will have to wait because I just spent loads on on my new iMac, monitors and other things “needed” to set up my home/office/teaching space… but I think I know what I’m getting myself this Christmas. Yay!

And even as I write these words, I’ve just finished a video that I’ll be sharing with my students tomorrow about the robots I’ve built and played with over the past five years and I just got a new copy of the new “education” offering from LEGO: Spike Prime. Turns out, in addition to becoming a new “LEGO Master Educator” this Fall, I’m also participating in a pilot program put together by LEGO Education and my school district, CCSD and part of the program is getting this brand new kit… Who knew “education” could be so much fun!
