There is one problem with getting older and having a sense of days flying past, when the week is over and you have to prep for going back to work next Monday. How did your week go? What would you have done if you had this past week off?
I have no memories of Spring Breaks from when I was a kid. When I taught at Full Sail University the students got the week off but staff was expected on campus attending professional development sessions. Like I’ve noted before, I was really bad at taking time off and didn’t really bother until I was in a relationship and took an actual vacation. So, this week I’ve spent some time prepping for next week, but the majority of my time has been spent working through financial stuff so that I can get my info to my accountant for Income Taxes. Having spent multiple days on this, it’s pretty clear that this would be a far smaller job if I bothered to keep my accounts balanced on a regular basis instead of letting things slip until these once-a-year events. Oops. I’ll get it all done, it’s just a bummer that I feel this continual pressure that kind’a takes the fun out of “time off.” Forty-four more school days… of course that it’s not much of a relief until I secure some meaningful employment. I hope you had a great week and even better weekend.
