We’re down to the last four full weeks or last 20 days of the school year. What are you going to do so that you successfully make all the way to the end?

Lots of students and teachers absent today. Wow, talk about beginning the break a bit too early. In the past I would have taken today off so that I could make sure that I had grades done for this afternoon’s progress report. But I was able to get far enough ahead of things that taking time off wasn’t necessary. It is a bit of a roller-coaster to try to be excited about the end of the school year (and my career teaching) but make sure to stay focused all the way to the end. As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, I spent last night coming up with a new assignment for today for my intro to robotics students because the six LEGO EV3 robots were uncooperative enough that it would be foolish to try to do the programming that I wanted to do. Thus, without warning, the Intro to Robotics students are now “done” with the hands-on part of the class and I was forced to move my planned virtual programming assignments from week 17 and 18 to begin next week, week 16 and 17. Either way, while being excited about ending this current daily grind, I still need to DO the daily grind… at least for another 20 days. Enjoy your weekend.
