Finished watching WWDC23… love all the folks hating on the $3500 price of the Apple Vision Pro AR/VR headset on Twitter. Granted, let’s see how much of the presentation of the device’s capabilities was smoke and mirrors, particularly whether one actually has meaningful peripheral vision with the device on. That was an area where other VR devices (Microsoft…) promised but horribly failed.

Also, just a reminder that in my 39-years of buying personal technology, beginning in 1984 with my much missed 64-KB Kaypro computer, every computer I bought was around $2400, and those prices didn’t drop until I bought a Mac-mini in the 2000s. Also when I bought my Kaypro you couldn’t get the newly introduced IBM PC for less than $3000. So, let’s see if Apple delivers in the next six to nine months. In the meantime, I guess I won’t be buying any ultra wide monitors any time soon (those folks might be a tad concerned…).
