The social feeds gods are good to me. This one popped up in my YouTube feed and I love it. At a pretty sensitive time in my life I was very much disabled by my emotions. The person I loved made fun of me and told me to go back to listening to my lesbians, meaning the music that I clung to because it often had the angst and sadness I was caught up in (a lot of Sarah McLachlan, Melissa Etheridge, Joan Osborne and Alanis Morissette). This song reminded me of those times, the longing, the self-doubt, the hurt. My story didn’t end the way the song ended, but I became a better person having gone through it.
