Video Mondays: NEVA’s Happy (at Home) Hour concerts
My friend, NEVA, like many musicians trying to deal with this lockdown, has started to do weekly concerts from her place in California. It’s been over four years since I’ve been to an in-person NEVA concert, which began for me in the rowdy Taco Beach days of 2007-2008. That girl knew how to belt it out over the noisy drunks and crazy fans. Doing it from home can be a real challenge with no crowd to play off of, but in these first three concerts she chats with remote viewers from Facebook, takes a request or two and celebrates the opportunity to do what she loves. Beautiful music in a beautiful setting with a talented musician… not a bad way to spend a virtual happy hour (on Thursdays).
