Are you looking for a good news movie for the holidays that isn’t about the holidays? Please check out The Bank of Dave, currently streaming on Netflix. This “little guy versus the evil money-changers” story stars Joel Fry, who was the loser side-kick in the film Yesterday (2019) this time playing an earnest London lawyer. Also showing up from Yesterday is Harry Michell, this time playing a sleazy London bank executive. In the title role of Dave is Rory Kinnear, last scene as the sleazy prime minister in the Netflix series, The Diplomat.  The Bank of Dave a nice tale about a successful local businessman fighting against the odds to help out his community, just ‘cause it’s the right thing to do, also ‘cause it’s the holidays, someone from the big city finds unexpected love in a small town… Happy holidays and enjoy.
